Temple Emanu-El PTO

Our PTO-sponsored religious school Jewish author/Jewish book read-a-thon was a big hit, and over fifteen participants read books with Jewish themes or by Jewish authors. The goal of this read-a-thon is to support students’ and teachers’ love of reading. Every reader will receive a $20 Barnes & Noble gift card to treat themselves to more books!

The ice cream social on February 2 was a lot of fun! The most popular ice cream flavor was cookie dough and the most popular topping was mini Junior Mints. The PTO was happy to see smiling faces and full bellies.

Purim is fast approaching, and the PTO will be running the Purim Carnival this year. If anyone is willing to help, we’d really appreciate it, as we want it to be a great time for all attendees; more hands would help to make it a success. Please let me know if you are willing to help (978.360.8298 or lisajoydesberg@gmail.com).

PTO Paint Night

Our PTO-sponsored Religious School read-a-thon was a big hit. The following participants read books with Jewish themes or by Jewish authors; some even read books in Hebrew:

Kimberly Callan
Rachel Chazanoff
Ryan Chazanoff
Abigail Hanson
Adam Hannula
Zack Hannula
Avi Lopez
Angie Lucia

Every reader will receive a $10 Barnes & Noble gift card to treat themselves to more books! This is one of the many enrichment activities supported by the Adeline B. Watnick Religious School Children’s Fund.

We want to thank Lisa Desberg, Scott and Andi Hannula, Mitch and Judy Kroner, Michael and Amy Sherr, and David Watnick, who purchased Mishkan T’filah personalized name plates with all proceeds going to the Adeline B. Watnick Religious School Children’s Fund.

Please know that you’re always invited to participate in PTO events. We’ve already started planning for next year, so feel free to contact Lisa Desberg, 978-360-8298 or lisajoydesberg@gmail.com, with any ideas that you’d like to see come to life!

Kugel Bake-Off FUNdraiser. The PTO would like to thank everyone who participated in the recent Kugel Bake-Off. After the kugel was eaten and the votes were tallied, Lisa Desberg and Andi Hannula tied for first place, with Laura Flieder coming in second. Congratulations to our winners! Everyone present was able to partake of a wonderful breakfast and enjoy the Adult Education presentation, "Why Jews by Choice Choose Judaism." The FUNdraiser earned over $200 for the Adeline B. Watnick Religious School Children's Fund.
