Dear Beloved Temple Emanu-El Community:

For those of you who still wish to pick up your Yahrzeit and dedication plaques, please call Carol Ann Goldberg at 917.539.1701 or ​e-mail [email protected], and fill out the Request for Artifacts form HERE . 

Placement in Andover:  For those joining Temple Emanuel of Andover, your Yahrzeit plaques will be hung in alphabetical order on the Cohen and Paul boards. You do not need to pick up your plaques, but we need to you to contact us to confirm what plaques are coming to Andover. 

In filling out forms, remember that it was common tradition for women to create Yahrzeit plaques for their parents, even though the parents lived in different communities. So please remember to request plaques with your mother's maiden surnames! 

For plaques of families who sadly have no descendants and for those who do not wish to take their plaques, the remainder will be stored in the chapel at the Children of Israel Cemetery. Plaques will not be buried.

During the year, you will enjoy participating in our ritual services, including weekly Shabbat services as well as annual observances of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Sh'mini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, Purim, and other events which honor and celebrate the history of our people. We also have special community interfaith services commemorating Yom HaShoah and the life of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. that bring us together to strengthen our ties with the community outside our temple.
